This video was created to support a workshop for the Elementary Teachers’ Federation of Ontario called Learning in the Early Years. ETFO asked Dr. Kimberly Bezaire (George Brown College) to participate in the video as a way to share her thoughts on a variety of topics from the workshop, in order to provide participants with further opportunities to expand their thinking. The facilitators of this workshop felt these video segments should not only be supports for the workshop, but should also be available to a wider audience of our members across Ontario to support their professional learning. The Facilitators’ Guide is provided for educator teams, individual teachers and occasional teachers, designated early childhood educators and teacher leaders to use as a guide for discussions related to the video.

This section tours K-3 classrooms around Ontario, from both rural and urban communities. Educators explain how different areas in their classrooms came to be.
The Classroom Tours section of this website was created to share conversations with educators in the early years who are on a learning journey with their children. The educators you will meet in these various conversations will discuss their classroom learning environments and their thinking behind the choices they have made. We hope this opportunity will provide you with a glimpse into other classrooms, as well as points for productive conversation and reflection.
